Cornerstone

This class focuses on loving your neighbor as you walk in the world: living in community with other Christians, living on mission with non-Christians, and living out your calling in the different roles and responsibilities God has given you.

About The Class

Jesus tells us that we should be devoted to loving God and loving our neighbor (Matthew 22:34-40). Our classes help you live that out as you walk with God and walk in the world. This class focuses on loving your neighbor as you walk in the world: living in community with other Christians, living on mission with non-Christians, and living out your calling in the different roles and responsibilities God has given you.

The next session of Walking in the World is scheduled for Spring 2019.

Class Format

Bring a listening ear, honest questions and comments—we’ll all be learning from God’s Word together.

Class Outline

Section 1: Walking in Community
Jesus calls us to himself and places us with other people. So what does it look like to have these deep Christian relationships—especially in our busy lives? This section works through how you can cultivate strong, healthy, encouraging, and challenging Christian relationships in daily life.

Section 2: Walking on Mission
Is there a way to talk about Jesus without making things really awkward? This section shows you how to persue honest friendships with non-Christians and spread the gospel without making them into a project.

Section 3: Calling
Loving your neighbor involves more than your relationships—it’s tied to your work, your neighborhood, and your possessions. God gives all of us roles and responsibilities so that we can be a blessing. This section explores our various callings and shows how your daily life really can be a means of worship.
