Cornerstone exists because of Jesus. We are a people who have been transformed by the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, God has forgiven us and adopted us into his family. Now, we have a whole new life.
Through the gospel, God redeems us, forgives us, and adopts us into his family. The good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection makes each one of us a new creation and gives us a new identity: children of God. This is why we can never think of the church as an organization or a building. The church is actually a family—God’s family, filled with redeemed sinners that are now his children.
Through the gospel, God forgives us, adopts us into his family, and makes us his disciples. This means that the church is not just any family. We are a family formed by God—and sent out with a purpose.
The church is a family that ministers to one another, cares for one another, and builds one another up. Each member of the family is a child of God who is uniquely gifted to bless the family and to be a light in our city.
Just like a vine grows best with a good trellis, our church family grows best with good programs. Our programs and ministries are tailored to support the community and mission God has given us.
Through the gospel, God has made us a family. Like an earthly family, the bulk of our time together is informal and woven into our daily lives. But earthly families also put some structures in place—like family dinner—to pursue both quantity and quality time together.
The same is true of our church family: we formalize some of our activities to create and enhance deep, disciple-making relationships. We don’t want these structures to get in the way of the relationships they are meant to support. Instead, we tailor every single church ministry to facilitate our purpose as God’s family in West LA.
We believe God builds each local church with uniquely gifted people according to his own design. Instead of pursuing as many ministries as possible, we want each ministry or program to reflect the unique shape of the family God is building here at Cornerstone. Because of the unique passion, calling, love, and sacrifice of our Cornerstone members, we have a number of thriving ministries.
God designed the family as a unique and vital place where He brings His grace to children. At Cornerstone, we love to come alongside families with support and encouragement for parents and children of all ages. Our family ministries are designed to come alongside parents and help equip them to make disciples of their children.

If you are a college student, we want to welcome you into our local, multi-generational church family. At Cornerstone, we think it’s life-as-usual for college students to be integrated with the rest of our church body. We want to walk with you in community groups and partnerships with on-campus para-church ministries.

Our women’s ministry exists to help connect women in our church and to facilitate their ministry to one another. Whether you are married, single, a stay-at-home mom or a career woman, this is a place you'll find welcoming friends to walk with you. Our women’s ministries take many forms, including occasional “Connect” events, a Mothers of Preschoolers group, and a weekly women’s Bible study.

Our Biblical Counseling ministry is designed to come alongside people who are struggling, in a time of crisis, or preparing for a unique season in life. We see counseling as an extension of our ministry of making disciples, and if you are particularly in need, we would love the opportunity to come alongside you and help.

Nueva Vida is a ministry that reaches those in our church body and our local community who primarily speak Spanish. West Los Angeles is a unique city with people from all over the world. Cornerstone believes that God wants us to love the foreigner as ourselves, and we exist to invite people into the family of God.

The God of the Bible is the God of the powerless. Throughout the Bible God demonstrates his special love for the poor and marginalized, often acting as their advocate when they have no one else. Our various Mercy Ministries reach out to the poor and marginalized around us with care and compassion.
